Project Overview

In July 2025, PJ Helicopters supported lift construction operations at Deer Valley Resort in Utah, working in partnership with Doppelmayr. The project required heavy-lift capability and precise coordination in steep, high-elevation terrain where conventional crane access was limited.

Scope of Work

To meet these demands, PJ Helicopters deployed its Utility Hook CH-47D heavy-lift platform to execute tower installation and related precision lifts. The aircraft’s external load capacity and hover stability enabled controlled placement of structural components in mountainous terrain where traditional crane access was impractical.

Impact

Averaging fewer than 10 minutes per pick in the air, this sustained production pace reduced ground handling exposure, minimized reliance on crane access in steep terrain, and kept lift construction on schedule ahead of winter resort operations.
